Letters of Love
YOU have the potential to bring a huge smile to someone today... and all it takes is one letter. Regardless of age, gender, or location, you have the power to bring joy to a senior citizen right now! Over 90% of senior citizens living in nursing facilities report feeling lonely, isolated, or even depressed. You can change this. Take a few minutes right now, sit down, and write a letter to an elder telling them about yourself, maybe say a joke or a riddle, and let them know that they are loved. Making a difference can be so simple, yet it can be incredibly impactful!

1. Letters must be legible.
2. We accept letters in any of the following languages: English, Italian, German, French, Spanish.
3. Avoid religion. Please refrain from including anything religious in your letters, such as religious quotes, words like "God," etc.
4. Don't include the date (day, month, or year) in your letters. Since it can take over a month from when you mail us the letter to when it actually is read by the recipient, dates on the letters often lead to the questions like, "It's mid-July! Why am I getting a letter dated May 2nd?"
5. Try and make your letters as creative as possible! The recipients love it when the letters are more personalized! We encourage you to make your letters detailed, thoughtful, and heartfelt. Gather some ideas through viewing some Examples. We've also compiled a comprehensive FAQ of commonly asked questions for letter-writing!
